The Country School
Capital Campaign

Annual Fund

Country School counts on $280,000 in donations every year to support the Annual Fund. These funds for operational expenses preserve the strong educational program for students and help maintain a balanced budget. Donors are asked to maintain their co-commitment to the Annual Fund and annual fund-raising events while stretching to support the 70th Anniversary Capital Campaign.

  • What is the Annual Fund and why is it necessary?

As in most independent schools, tuition and fees by design do not cover the full cost of a student’s education. The Annual Fund provides vital supplemental funding to enhance academic and extracurricular programming, retain outstanding faculty, and ensure that a Country School education is accessible to an economically diverse population.
  • How is the Annual Fund different from the 70th Anniversary Campaign and the Spring Auction?

The purpose of The Talent Within Campaign is to raise funds for the construction of our new student classroom and maintenance building and for the endowment. The Spring Auction, our largest Annual Fund event, raises additional funds for The Country School programs.
  • How much should I give?

A gift that is meaningful to your family is meaningful to The Country School. While the amount varies for each family, a gift at any level makes a difference. You should give until it feels good!
  • Why is 100% participation so important?

A gift of any size is an endorsement of The Country School and has a greater impact than its financial support alone. High parent, faculty, and alumni participation is an important factor that foundations and corporations consider when deciding to invest in The Country School.
  • Does it matter when I make my gift?

Though the Annual Fund runs from July 1 to June 30 every year, we encourage donors to make a gift or pledge before December 31. Making a gift or pledge early significantly helps The Country School in budget planning.
