Elizabeth Coyne served at The Country School from 2002 to 2023. During that time she held multiple roles: teacher, library media specialist, trustee, parent, coach, secondary school counselor, and assistant head of school. Her broad reach touched many families.
In 2022 Dr. David Yuh and Dr. Bonnie Hiatt P ’22, ’22 founded the Elizabeth Coyne Scholarship Fund. Based on need and merit, eligible 6th through 8th Grade students are selected based on their personal promise; their potential to grow as leaders at The Country School; and how they live the mission of the school by demonstrating creativity, a sense of wonder, and intellectual curiosity. Recipients rigorously approach academics and seek to empower peers to serve the common good on campus and off.
Scholarships are renewed each year that the students are enrolled at The Country School, provided the recipients stay in strong academic standing and demonstrate good citizenship. Coyne Scholarship recipients contribute significantly to the life of Country School, creating a stronger overall experience for all students.
